My fondness for beauty pageants lives on. As it has always been, I have always loved Bb Pilipinas as it holds the franchise of the plum title, Bb Pilipinas-Universe. After taking part in protest of Bb Pilipinas's initial decision to oust Maria Venus Raj (due to declared document issues) as then Bb Pilipinas -Universe, I spent some free time following media reports and taking part in online discusssions related to MVR and that included bashing BPCI for its irrational decision. As a manifestation, a fan page was created dedicated to Bb Pilipinas contestants and winners. At that time, the page was also utilized to support online petition pages in Facebook to bring back the title of MVR, which altogether grew huge media attention, etc. Just after a few days of court threats and media pressure, BPCI offered MVR her title pending her acquisition of a Philippine passport.
I followed Venus all the way to that very special day she brought the title of FOURTH runner up to this pageant-loving nation.
